Spring Break we decided to go to Tennessee to the mountains. Beautiful up there! It was cold the whole trip until the day we were driving home...go figure! I didn't take very many pictures. We weren't there very long and we had 2 out of 3 kids in tow.

Brylie in her new trampoline...we call it her 'jump-jump'.

Lily on the way to Tennessee. It was a long drive for us to only stay 2 days. We won't be driving here again for a LONG time!

Brylie did fairly well on the trip. She's spoiled though with the DVD player. She thinks that every time we get into the car that she is supposed to watch a movie.

Holiday Season 2012

Our Holiday Season went by way too fast as usual! Once Halloween passes, it's usually a blur. We always have somewhere to be between both sides of the family. Not to mention, Lily's Birthday is in December.

Thanksgiving is always fun. We get to see the family and give thanks for everything that God has given us. We also get to eat some good food :)) At least I got to bring something else this year besides dessert- even if it was just bread and cranberry sauce. Over Thanksgiving break I had to go back to the doctor about my back, and I was put on more medicine-Lyrica to be exact. So that puts me up to 5 mandatory meds that I have to take on a daily basis. If I skip any of these I suffer immensely from the pain in my back/legs/sciatic nerves. I also have prescription pain medicine if I need it.

Lily's birthday was celebrated a few days early so that we possibly would have a good turnout and so we along with other family members wouldn't feel rushed. She had her party at Skate America, and she LOVED it! I however was a nervous wreck. The employees didn't clarify that we only had the party room for 45 minutes, so she barely had anyone show up at her party. At least one of her friends from school showed up. I felt so bad for her, but she didn't act like it bothered her. Her friend Sara rode with her in the big skate to Justin Beiber's 'Boyfriend' song.

On to Christmas. I didn't go overboard with gifts. :) The girls were extremely excited about all of their gifts-especially the ones that they received from their Nana and Poppy-iPads!!! They seemed to enjoy each gift just the same-makes me glad that they don't hold any gift with more importance than another. I just love seeing the excitement on their faces as they open each gift and play with them. But then it was time to return to school to begin finishing out the year.

Where did Summer go?

Where in the world did our summer go? It just seemed like school ended yesterday, and my girls were finishing up ball season. And now I have about 2 weeks until I return to work(teaching 1st grade again, I might add!!!!).

Here's a recap:

Softball season was awesome! Jaycie's team, even though pretty inexperienced, did a spectacular job this season. We had a team full of sweet girls who could play some ball! Jaycie was moved to the pitcher position, and she proved that she deserved to be there. She was aggressive with the ball and listened to her coaches. She also showed us that she is a slugger! When she got up to bat, we could count on her to get a base hit pretty much every time.

Lily also improved tremendously this season in T-ball. She actually pain attention while in the outfield. In several games, she ran down the runner and got him/her out. I helped her figure out how to get a hit when up to bat. One weekend we were practicing in the yard and I turned the ball on the Tee so that she could see the MLB symbol. I told her to stare at that picture and try to hit it. Ding! Ding! She would hit the ball every time. And if the ball didn't have the MLB symbol, she would focus on a letter on the ball. Being able to hit the ball at every bat boosted her confidence level. She is very excited about playing again next year-I can't wait to see her play!

Summer.....YAY!! Our summer has been VeRy BuSy this year since we didn't do anything last year due to me being on bed rest and then eventually Brylie being born. So in June we attended VBS at our church as well as taking the girls to their first Ranger game! Oh they had such a blast! (Yes they watched some of the game) They drank it all in from the size of the stadium to seeing the players in person. What made it memorable was the tiny bats that they got for a souvenier. And getting to play in the kids area, of course!

July came around quickly! During the first week Lily was visiting her Mamaw in Ft. Worth. She came home for a week, and then she and Jaycie both left for a week-Jaycie with Maycie in Mississippi, and Lily with Nana at Disney World. It was SO quiet around our house! Brylie didn't know what to do without her sissy's here. The last week was the week that we had been waiting on--our vacation to Orange Beach, Alabama! All 3 princesses had a BLAST! Our condo was as big as our house, and it was decked out! We stayed on the 12th floor and had a huge balcony-where we spent every morning--well, we spent a lot of time out there. The pools at the resort were multi-level with fountains and slides. The resort even had a lazy river, miniature golf, tennis courts, playground, and bocce ball. Cobalt the restaurant was next door with the most delicious food! The beach was close even though we had to drive. Jaycie swam and boogie-boarded in the ocean...Lily not so much- she played in the sand mostly. As far as the water goes, she stayed right where it met the sand. TJ walked her out several feet, and she screamed! She did not like being out there at all! I think it had something to do with *some people* telling her that there were sharks out there and that they would get her. Now yes, there are sharks, but really, did we need to terrorize her? Ok, off the soap box..... Brylie hated being at the beach. I'm not sure exactly what she didn't like or if it was everything about it. She did, however, like going to the pool and splashing around in the water. And speaking of Brylie, she did SO GOOD traveling back and forth in the car!

When we got back from vacation, my baby Brylie turned 1 year old. (making the Home Alone face)"Where did the time go?" This was the fastest year I think! She is getting so big-she can cruise around the furniture. She can say, Mama, Dada, Bye Bye, bot-bot(bottle), No/ No-No, Nana, and the sign for the word More. She makes this sign to let us know that she wants more food. She is also trying to figure out how to open the gate so she can go up the stairs to play with her sissy's. She is always on the move, and will dance upon hearing any type of music. She has TJ wrapped around her little finger-our gorgeous blue-eyed blondie!!!

Now it's Back-to-School time. I'm excited and sad at the same time. It's good though-my girls need a routine again, BAD!

Stay tuned.... :)

I am just floored by how God has just blessed us!

Softball is coming...

So, the pageant was very stressful, but I think that the girls had a lot of fun. Results: Brylie received Baby Miss Redwater 2012, and Lily received the 1st runner up in the Petite Miss Redwater. Now technically Jaycie didn't place-but-there were 10 girls in her category and only the crown and 1st runner up were given. There should've been at least a 2nd runner up since there were so many girls. And judging from Jaycie's scores she did fairly well. We are still proud of her;it takes a a lot of courage to get up on a stage and do that! I have always received compliments on how beautiful she is....I really don't need the approval of 3 other people I have never met. They have never encountered her sweet personality. So in my book Jaycie should be the Supreme! heehee....

On to softball.....TJ has taken on the position of Coach for Jaycie's team and has designated me as the manager. We have decided to call ourselves the Knockouts with lime green, black, and white jerseys. I'm not sure that I'm ready to take this on, but as of now I really have no choice. Lily is still playing T-ball, and we are trying to get her move to another team for transportation reasons. Both girls are very excited to get started. I am too-spring softball means the end of school is near!! :)

Our world in summary as of today: I am currently making Brylie's baby food myself. So far, she has tried squash and has loved it! Avocados will be tomorrow....more to come on that. We have two new dogs: Hank and Sadie-brother/sister Yorkies. The girls LOVE them. Jaycie and Lily continue to grow, continue to get smarter every day. Brylie is just as happy as she can be. And all three girls will be in the Miss Redwater pageant this year!(feb.4)
So, I'm new to the blogging thing. I'm wanting to do this so that I can have a record for my family- just pictures, thoughts, and stories. It's never boring at my house so I know that this is bound to be interesting. Here we go! Right now my girls are growing like weeds! Jaycie, 8, in 2nd grade; Lily, 5, in Pre-K; and Brylie, 6 months. They keep my busy, but I love them with every ounce of me. They and TJ are my world, and always will be.
